Which Palestine shirt should I pick?

Pick by how loud you want it to be. Our embroidered tees keep the map or the word GAZA small and quiet on the chest, while the printed designs tell a bigger story.

Embroidered or printed: what's the difference?

Embroidery is stitched into the fabric, so the design won't crack or fade the way a print can. Printing lets us put a larger, more detailed design on the shirt, like the timeline on the Palestine History tee.

Our embroidery is done by machine, made to order. If you want a shirt you can wear to work or to dinner, go embroidered. If you want the shirt to start the conversation, go printed.

What do the symbols on a Palestinian shirt mean?

Each symbol stands for land, memory or return.

• Map of Palestine. Historic Palestine, a symbol of roots and return.
• Gaza. One word, worn as a statement of solidarity.
• Handala. The barefoot refugee boy was created by cartoonist Naji al-Ali in 1969, and he stays forever 10 years old, the age Naji al-Ali was when his family was displaced in 1948.
• Watermelon. Like the Palestinian flag, the watermelon is red, white, black and green, and displays of the Palestinian flag are often restricted or banned by Israel, so the fruit stands in for it.
• Key of return (مفتاح العودة). The key to a home that families still remember.
• Keffiyeh. The black-and-white scarf worn across Palestine, and a sign of Palestinian identity worldwide.
